IE2 motors combined with a frequency converter offer a solid contemporary solution. Most drive units are frequency-controlled, and it is not required to use IE3 motors for combinations of electric motors and frequency converters.
Please note that from 01.07.2021 on the exception of using an IE2 motor in combination with a frequency converter is not applicable anymore. From this day on IE3 motors have to be used.
